My dear viewers,
We are due for the
Janmashtami festival marked with Lord Shri Krishna's
birthday on the 2nd of September. I wish to greet the
devotees on the occasion.
In Indian
tradition, we have a deity identified with all aspects of life,
vital to our existence. And, we have a festive date dedicated
to all popular deities every calendar year. For, each of
them epitomizes values vital to our qualitative existence.
Lord Krishna dwells
in our heart,
not because He
successfully steered Arjuna to victory over the Kaurvas. He is
remembered as an epitome of love – that pristine love, which
being the source and cause for all diverse creations, holds the
key to unity underlying the manifest world.
Not
only that, He, through Bhagwada Gita did also show us offer us a
lesson in the "Art of Living", following which, one could unfold
that pristine love lying deep within all of us, and connect to
the rest as one amongst equal.
Remembering Lord Krishna in the above sense on this solemn
occasion will mean true reverence to the Lord. Mere belief
driven offering to the Lord is not enough.
With
these words I wish to greet the valued readers on Janmashthmi.
With all the
good wishes,
Bharat Bhushan
Padmadeo
