Spirituality, going by Indian perception, is a way of life, evolved in conformity with the Laws of Nature, underlying our physical and dynamic existence. Here, it needs to be understood and acknowledged that the forces emerging from the Primordial Source must have progressed following a set framework before getting manifested into a Temporal World of our living. What further needs to be appreciated is the fact that we can be at our best only when we fully comply to these basic tenets of our making, as would apply to any dynamic mechanism. It is in appreciation of this basic truth that our Seers set their vision in comprehending the dynamics of our complex but essentially an integrated Existential Order. The keen observers, that they were, they delved deep into the entire spectrum of our making and our functional mechanism operative at the imperceptible as well as tangible levels, in macro and micro terms. They also comprehended the mechanics of the support system operative behind our existence and their impact over our life pattern. Further applying their deep insight, they envisioned a discipline of life directed towards a qualitative and meaningful living at ease, individually and collectively, conducive to progressive evolution of human-self.
The Learned Masters trained their focus on the three primary components of life – Energy, Mind and Body. Energy-The Provider , holds the key to our physical and dynamic existence. Mind-The Conductor , in turn, canalises & conducts the energy, translates it into action, and steers all aspects of our functional-self. For all actions on our part, our Body-The Beholder , provides the platform. The three are obviously set into an inter-dependent framework being supportive to each other and therefore they have to work in unison. Following the above concept, it therefore becomes incumbent upon us to optimise their individual and coordinated functioning. Accordingly they suggested a threefold approach:
Train one-self to be in better communion with the higher pool of energy to enrich our intrinsic energies necessary for higher productivity as a prelude to a successful life ahead.
Train up one's mind to direct our thought process towards rightful and need based productive applications.
Proper health care of our physical self so as to ensure agility and alertness of body and mind in order to extend due support to our Karma.
Corresponding to the above threefold approach, the study further branches out into three exclusive disciplines: Astrology , Philosophy and Yoga / Ayurveda .
To sum up, Spirituality is an exercise in Holistic Management of one's integrated-self, in togetherness with the higher pool of energy. So, it is a dynamic process which gives direction to the human resource building through our conscious efforts. The fruits to follow would be a sustained qualitative growth on the strength of enriched intrinsic energies; a well ordained thought process; and a healthy body. What emerges then is the very best in a person, laying the ground for a successful and fulfilling life. |
